Instructions:
1. Prepare the Molds:
Lightly coat the gummy bear molds with non-stick spray to make it easier to remove the gummies once they are set. Set aside.
2. Mix Ingredients:
In a medium saucepan, pour 1 cup of wine. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of unflavored gelatin over the wine. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom. This means the gelatin will absorb the liquid and swell.
3. Heat the Mixture:
Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir gently with a whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Do not let it boil.
Add 2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup to the mixture, stirring until fully combined. If using lemon juice, add it now.
4. Pour into Molds:
Using a dropper or small spoon, carefully fill the gummy bear molds with the mixture. Try to work quickly before the mixture starts to set.
5. Chill:
- Place the filled molds in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until the gummy bears are fully set.
6. Unmold and Store:
- Gently remove the gummy bears from the molds. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Nutrition Information (per serving):
The nutritional values are approximate and based on the assumption that the recipe yields 20 -25 gummy bears.
Enjoy your homemade wine gummy bears! Adjust the sweetness and flavor by experimenting with different types of wine or adding additional flavors if desired.
