For the honey syrup:

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

2. Thaw the phyllo dough according to package instructions.

3. In a bowl, mix together the nut mixture ingredients.

4. Layer the phyllo dough in a large baking dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.

5. After every 5 layers, sprinkle some of the nut mixture.

6. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of phyllo dough.

7. Cut into diamond shapes and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown.

8. While the Baklava is baking, prepare the honey syrup by boiling the ingredients in a saucepan until the sugar dissolves.

9. Remove the Baklava from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.

10. Drizzle the honey syrup over the Baklava and let it cool completely before serving.

Tips:

  •  Use high-quality phyllo dough for the best results.
  • Don't overmix the nut mixture, as it can become oily.
